adult autism assessments

  • Are you wondering if you might be on the Autism spectrum?

  • Has someone—maybe a therapist, partner, or friend—suggested it, and you’re not sure what to think?

  • Do you notice patterns in your life that feel hard to explain, like sensory overwhelm, social fatigue, or needing structure to feel calm?

  • Have you always felt a bit “different,” and want to understand why certain experiences or environments feel harder for you than for others?

  • Are you seeking clarity to better understand yourself, your needs, and how your brain works—not just to get a label?

  • Have you masked for much of your life and are now wondering what it would mean to live more authentically?

  • Do you want to explore this possibility in a non-pathologizing, affirming, and collaborative way?

I offer comprehensive autism assessments for adults who are seeking greater clarity and self-understanding. This process is designed to explore whether autism may be part of your neurotype while also considering the broader context of your mental health and life experiences.

Assessments involve a combination of clinical interviews, input from close loved ones when possible, and standardized, research-based measures of autism traits. These tools evaluate key areas such as social communication, sensory and motor experiences, and patterns of focused interests or repetitive behaviors.

Alongside the formal evaluation, I take a whole-person approach—considering co-occurring challenges, identity, and strengths. After the assessment, I provide a write up of results, short-term counseling to help you integrate the findings, process emotions that may arise, and connect with affirming resources and next steps for support.
